The largest solar energy resource in Maine

The Three Corners facility, the largest solar project in Maine, powers an average of 31,000 homes and is an important resource for Maine to help it meet its clean energy objectives.

This $200 million investment delivers economic, environmental, and community benefits, including ~$8 million in new property taxes for host communities and the State of Maine. The project has made several community contributions, including a $25,000 donation to Sebasticook Regional Land Trust to support their land conservation and stewardship projects, and an annual donation of $10,000 to support local scholarship programs and charitable organizations. Additionally, the project has conserved approximately 1,900 acres of predominantly forested lands.

Three Corners Solar represents approximately 100,000 metric tons of avoided CO2 emissions annually, the equivalent of taking 30,000 cars off the road for as long as the project operates.
