This position will provide end user and localized infrastructure support to Longroad’s growing footprint.  This includes corporate offices as well as remote operating assets.  The IT Generalist will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge, skillset, and experience dealing with a wide variety of cloud, SaaS, end-user, and industrial applications as well as equipment.  If you enjoy being exposed to a diverse set of technology, challenges, as well as being a part of making a positive impact to our environment, then this is the job for you. 


  • Respond to client support requests
  • Deploy Windows workstations consistently and quickly for multiple platforms
  • Support a heavy Microsoft client environment
  • Help to manage servers in an Active Directory environment, ensuring that each server has optimal uptime
  • Assist with troubleshooting network issues, web services, mail services, and overall aspects of the corporate WAN
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and assets
  • Provide hands-on and remote support for users (this includes but is not limited to; Windows 10, Office 365, IPSEC/SSL VPN, Adobe Acrobat, file and print sharing, WIFI, LAN/WAN troubleshooting, etc)
  • Participate and contribute in group IT projects
  • Play a proactive role in identifying and helping to resolve critical issues that may arise
  • Travel as needed to offices and project sites; up to 25%


  • 3+ years of information technology experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, or Computer Engineering, or MCSE, or relevant experience
  • Senior level troubleshooting skills both remote and in person
  • Cloud services administration, including Office 365 and AWS
  • Ability to work extended hours as required
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Office applications
  • Intermediate knowledge and troubleshooting of Active Directory and group policies
  • Familiarity with LAN/WAN topologies and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with AWS technologies (VPC, EC2 instances, and serverless applications)
  • Familiarity with IP telephony
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated initiative taker who is able to work independently as well as with others
