Job Purpose

We are looking for an HR Specialist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have sound judgement, strong communication skills and the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. The HR Specialist will assist with providing general HR support in areas such as payroll, employee relations, company policies/practices, new hire orientation, compliance, diversity and performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibilities and focus of the role are providing day-to-day HR administration.
  • Manage and process payroll, including time keeping, payroll taxes, and benefit deductions. Audit payroll and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Ensure successful year-end processing and W2 creation.
  • Manage employee relations with an unbiased, balanced approach and a high degree of discretion
  • Assist with Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) partnering with managers on documentation, plan initiation, feedback and execution.
  • Administer employee Leaves of Absence programs.
  • Conduct on-boarding of new hires, to include orientation, coordination of new hire paperwork, benefits overview and enrollment.
  • Ensures timeliness, accuracy and integrity of data in HR and benefit systems.
  • Initiates background checks.
  • Process, verify, and maintain personnel records and other HR related documentation.
  • Maintain human resource information system (HRIS) records and compile reports as needed.
  • Perform assignments where trust, discretion, and accuracy are required, while maintaining confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care.
  • Assist and support with HR communications as needed and assigned.
  • Support annual performance management process.
  • Assists in implementing new HR processes and programs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of progressive HR experience in fast paced, dynamic and high growth environment.
  • 2 years of experience in employee relations, with emphasis on employee relations and human resources policy implementation.
  • Strong thinker with good judgment and assertiveness to voice continuous improvement ideas.
  • Understanding of Human Resources concepts, practices, programs, and methodologies.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources Management or related field, Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
  • Self-disciplined, well organized with high level attention to detail with a high sense of urgency.
  • Works effectively with others, in groups, in cross-functional settings, and with diverse stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources and labor laws and regulations.

Job Purpose

This position will work as part of the fast-paced accounting team and be responsible for a variety of accounting responsibilities including A/P invoice entries.   

Responsibilities

  • Processing of AP Invoices to correct general ledger accounts and company codes
  • Responsible for obtaining invoice approval and tracking unapproved invoices
  • Maintain support for invoices and any disputed amounts
  • Post manual payments to AP invoices
  • Assist with special projects in accounting or other areas
  • Serve as back up for processing of expense reports
  • Assist with 1099 reporting

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of accounts payable experience
  • Thorough understanding of internal accounting controls
  • Exceptional PC and spreadsheet skills (essential)
  • Proficient in MS Office 2007/ Excel 2007
  • Consistently meets strict deadlines

  • Previous renewable energy industry experience a plus

Job Purpose

This position will work as part of the fast-paced accounting team in Longroad Energy’s corporate offices in Boston.  The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the external portfolio accounting team. This position will be responsible for managing the month end close cycle, assisting in the review of project monthly financials, balance sheet analysis, design and generation of financial and analytical reports.  This position will also manage assignments and workload, training and mentoring and lead change management as we continue to grow as an organization. In addition, this individual will be the direct liaison with our external asset management customers.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact and leader for our portfolio accounting team
  • Oversee accounting team in the month end close process for a number of renewable energy projects
  • Preparation and approval of balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries and tasks
  • Produce analysis to support the understanding of the monthly financial statements
  • Interface with outside accountants to provide information for tax returns and audits
  • Lead or assist with special projects
  • Design and generate financial and analytical reports
  • Prepare consolidation entries
  • Perform a variety of ad hoc assignments working directly with senior management
  • Support technical accounting research and communicate impacts of new standards to various stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Exceptional MS Office Suite Experiences
  • Experience with Accounting ERP software
  • 2 Years of accounting managerial experience
  • 6 Years of progressive accounting experience

  • Renewable Energy or Oil/Gas Industry Experience

The Financial Planning Analyst will be responsible for supporting the preparation and reporting of the annual operating plan at a fast-paced, rapidly growing renewable energy company.  The Financial Planning Analyst will play a key role in Longroad Energy’s monthly reporting process.  The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing the annual operating plan and provide analytics to measure the Company’s operating performance against that plan
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis for delivery to Longroad Management and external project stakeholders
  • Manage cash forecasting for various operating wind and solar projects
  • Participate in a robust forecasting process; identify key business risks and opportunities and improve forecasting accuracy where applicable
  • Provide internal and third-party customers with financial and/or business planning, reporting, forecasting and analysis
  • Work closely with the Accounting group to fulfill internal and external reporting requirements
  • Provide business analysis and ad-hoc financial modeling

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a financial/business analysis capacity with experience in preparing and coordinating budgets, forecasts and related reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering or a related field
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and management reporting 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people at all levels
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work on a team as well as independently and drive results
  • Comfortable in an environment of high growth with changing priorities, and competing demands for time
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work extended hours as required

Job Purpose

Responsibilities

  • Completion of balance sheet reconciliations using automation
  • Assist in the preparation of the project monthly operating report
  • Conduct balance sheet analysis and reconciliation
  • Assist with month-end close process for a portfolio of assets
  • Generate journal entries requiring judgment and analysis
  • Work with external auditors
  • Assist with special projects
  • Record revenues in accordance with contractual obligations related to energy production for each facility
  • Maintain the full ledger for the portfolio of operating assets (book & tax)
  • Record the necessary month-end transactions related for the portfolio

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with a strong GPA
  • Thorough understanding of internal accounting controls
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, functions, practices, and procedures within the accounting function
  • Exceptional PC and Excel skills (essential)
  • Proficient in MS Office
